Mr. Parker follows Terry Parker, a middle-aged man coping with life after a profound personal loss. As Terry grapples with a shifting sense of identity and unexpected changes, his journey becomes more complex when he begins a relationship with a younger man. Facing the challenges of moving beyond his former life as part of a “power couple,” Terry must learn to navigate his new reality as a single man without the familiar public persona he once shared with his late husband.
Terry’s emotional struggle is captured in his own words: “I was defined by the man I married, and now, suddenly, for the first time, I’m just … ‘Mr. Parker.’ And I don’t know how to do that.”
Critically acclaimed, Mr. Parker has been described by Rex Reed as “A very intelligent, absorbing look at contemporary relationships and the conflicts that keep us all from aging with joy and peace of mind. The writing is both honest and engaging. This play is a real discovery.”
Riley Capp (above left), AK Miller, and Mary Anne Bowman are featured.
