Panes Bread Cafe is the best of both worlds—reasonably priced and great food! Famous for their sweet french bread, it is a culinary jewel in Chicago. They also offer tasty sandwiches and desserts. With most food items under $10, you can’t go wrong here. Come try their weekend brunch—we personally recommend the Chilaquiles.

Public transportation is the best way to get here. Located at the NW corner of Wellington and Sheffield, it’s just a half block west of the Diversey Brown Line station and 3 blocks south of the Belmont Red/Brown station.

Paid parking is available across the street in the Illinois Masonic building; there is the parking garage next to the hospital.
