Tiffany Lamps: Beyond the Shade at Driehaus Museum [Gold Coast]

Step into a world of artful elegance at the Driehaus Museum, a beautifully preserved Gilded Age mansion on Chicago’s Gold Coast. With its grand staircase, ornate architectural details, and richly decorated rooms, the museum offers a stunning glimpse into Chicago life at the turn of the 20th century.

From the 1890s through the 1920s, Tiffany Studios created an extraordinary range of decorative lighting—far beyond the iconic stained-glass shades most of us recognize. To bring Louis C. Tiffany’s imaginative designs to life, skilled artisans used a remarkable mix of materials, including bronze, enamel, pottery, and richly colored glass.

Tiffany Lamps: Beyond the Shade explores this dazzling chapter of design history and invites visitors to see Tiffany’s beloved lamps in an entirely new light.

Our group will be a party of 10, and the ticket price is $28.50, which includes museum admission. The tour starts at 2 but plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
